Transparent Sound 2026 | Film Club 3. - Meteo
26 January 2026. 6:00 pm
Budapest Music Center - Library
1093 Budapest, Mátyás utca 8.
A joint event of Evenings of Cinema and Transparent Sound New Music Festival will screen the cult film by András Mész Monory, with restored sound and images. The film, which is linked to the cyberpunk-dystopian-post-apocalyptic film movement of the 1980s, reveals a Budapest that no longer exists, and perhaps was even hidden at the time of the film's shooting (1988). After the screening, we will be joined by two of the film's composers - János Másik and Tibor Szemző - in conversation with film aesthete László Kolozsi and composer Marcell Dargay.
The film was provided by the National Film Institute Nonprofit Ltd.
The festival is supported by the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung.
